Barbara was a colleague who became my friend. The last place we worked together was in an attic room in Somerset House. It was just the two of us. We worked hard but had fun. The fact we had to move computers when it rained didn't worry us. A small price to pay for having an office with our own fireplace. The one thing Barbara wasn't fond of was our resident mouse, that popped in from time to time. I think after a while she stopped screaming when it came to visit!!!
